For many music lovers, the best way to celebrate Christmas-time is to attend or take part in a performance of Handel’s Messiah. The subject of this oratorio, composed in 1842, is the life of Christ.

In recent Seasons, the chorus of the Nationale Reisopera and the Helios Ensemble of Enschede have given several successful performances of this work.

The Nationale Reisopera’s ‘Singalong Messiah’ takes place this year on Sunday 20 December at 15.00, in the Grote Kerk in Enschede’s Oude Markt.

There will be a rehearsal for participants in the Grote Kerk on the same day, from 10.30 to 13.30.
