Intrigues, dependency and the tactics of relationships; an Italian comic opera with a dash of melancholy and tragedy. This comedy is probably one of the most credible and human in the entire operatic repertoire. The story revolves around Figaro, servant of Count Almaviva. He is about to marry Susanna, the Countess’ maid servant. The Count does everything he can to win Susanna for himself before her wedding, but the clever Susanna manages to frustrate the Count’s plans and to ensure that he is forced to beg forgiveness from his own wife.
